Restaurant Dumbwaiters

Butler's Buddy offers an exclusive line of restaurant dumbwaiters designed for the food industry for applications in cafeterias, restaurants, dining rooms, and cafes. We stock five different size dumbwaiters that utilize standard restaurant trays. We can also build custom size food lifts to meet other design requirements and can even provide custom modernized replacements for outdated manual dumbwaiters. Restaurant owners find that our systems increase productivity, which provides better customer service while also decreasing the strain on their workforce and avoiding the risk of stairway accidents.

All restaurant dumbwaiters come with the approved safety switches that are required for these types of applications, in addition to the over-travel and slack cable switches that come standard on all of our products. The electro-mechanical interlocks on the UL listed fire rated doors are commercial elevator grade. Our low voltage wiring connects to the appropriate switch by way of crimp connectors, labeled and color coded to avoid confusion. The minimum space required for the upper motor assembly starts at 14 inches.

Restaurant Dumbwaiters

The five standard sizes of our electric restaurant lifts seen below will accommodate 18 x 26 and 13 x 18 aluminum food trays. Our restaurant lifts and dumb waiters are available in single side openings or opposite side openings in five sizes. The lift containers are available in two different types: solid stainless steel or cabinet grade birch with stainless steel lining. We offer the 18 x 26 restaurant lifts where the tray is inserted into the container longways, as well as the 26 x 18 where the tray is inserted sideways (pictured below). The 18 x 26 models have a narrower door but a deeper shaft way. While the 26 x 18 models have a shaft way that is not as deep but utilizes a wider door. The interior vinyl/steel ribbed doors come preinstalled on all standard restaurant lift containers. Double-Restaurant Dumbwaiters

This side by side design allows you to use the minimum space to maximize productivity of your restaurant or other food industry needs. It is commonly used in high traffic restaurants as well as when one dumbwaiter is being used for food, while the other is being used to transport dishes and utensils.
